Rob, I'm so glad you chimed in and clarified some of those questions I had. As I mentioned, I've noticed it's the "smart" App providers who are quick to realize the potential of what they initially offer and seek to make fast, productive improvements and updates.

Also good to know that you have products for the other phones, even if I am an Apple maven. ;-)

Hey Jim - glad you like our iPhone app. A couple of comments:

If you have an iPhone 3G, we are using the GPS to find the location. For the original iPhone and iPod Touch, we use the built in Apple technology. You can also specify a location manually if you like. We use static maps in some cases, where the user remains in our app, but you can also launch Google maps straight from a property to get directions and pinch/zoom all around (again using GPS, if the phone allows).

We definitely hear you on some of the other points and, as you mention, stay tuned!

We have products for other devices too - BlackBerry, Nokia, Dash Express GPS, etc... - available at www.trulia.com/mobile/. If anyone wants to give feedback or suggestions for our mobile products, feel free to leave a comment on my blog - http://www.trulia.com/blog/rob/2008/08/trulia_mobile_launches.
